ngineers
and architects, you want one thing and you want it fast. Namely,
you want your conceptual model to become reality as quick as humanly
possible. Until recently, everything from the paper trail to the
mail, the detailer to the steel fabricator have slowed down the
process. Not any more. Technology has changed everything.
In the time it used to take to mail, estimate jobs, and approve
drawings, we can have your building ready. It's all about technology
and boosting profits.
Chesapeake Design Services and B&B Welding have put together
a state-of-the-art infrastructure that crunches the time it takes
for your theoretical model to become a real life structure. Exploiting
the powerful detailing software package SDS2 and the RAM Structural
System software package, we can now:
- Electronically import your structural engineering
drawings. (Save on FedEx fees and delivery time.)
- Instantly translate a model from your structural
engineering package, provided it is CIS/2 compliant, into neutral
files which, in turn, can be brought into our SDS2 detailing
package.
- Quickly detail all connections and sub-materials
in strict accordance with the AISC codes of standard practices.
- Take detailed drawings and electronically
send to our estimator for a quick hard number estimate.
- Send you back the detail-enhanced 3-dimensional
drawings for your immediate approval.
- Send and receive any .dxf files.
- Upon your approval, we can instantly program
all B&B Welding CNC equipment to begin fabricating your
job.
- Post on our web site a daily update on the
fabrication progress of your job.
All this means one thing-your drawings will
become buildings faster. By creating a powerful network, together
we can eliminate delivery time and expense, accelerate the detailing
and fabrication process, and ultimately build new structures in
the time it once took to plan them.
