Ralph Eisenhuth Michele Dosch

Been with B&B Since Oct 1998
ichele Dosch doesn't come home from work all stressed out anymore. It's been like this for two years, or ever since she started working as an administrative assistant at B&B Welding. At her previous job, she says, "I came home at wit's end. It took me about an hour to unwind." Not so at B&B. When Michele Dosch first interviewed with her future boss, Dennis McCartney, he told her about the family atmosphere at B&B Welding. It was just what Michele wanted to hear. "I was only here about two months and I just started feeling like one of the guys," she says. Today, she's an important part of the B&B family.

Michele does "a little bit of everything." That includes all of the usual administrative assistant jobs-filing, answering the phones, invoicing, time sheets, and taking messages. But she also does some less typical work as well. She helps Dave Mills estimate steel purchases by "nesting" the order. That is to say, she helps figure out how to buy the right amount of steel with the least amount of waste. A whiz at Microsoft Excel, she also creates forms to help track employee time spent on a job. When she really thinks about her job she jokes, "Basically, whatever needs to be done, I do."

Michele has never fished in her life. "Crabbing when I was young, that's the closest I've come to fishing," she says. It's not easy abstaining from fishing at B&B Welding though. "One time they're going to ask me to go fishing," she says, "And I'm going to surprise them!"
